Qiong Wu

Qiong Wu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the College of William & Mary advised by Prof. Zhenming Liu. Her research on high-dimensional models for low-signal to noise problems, with a goal to integrate high-dimensional regularization methods with deep learning and other non-parametric techniques. Before joining William & Mary, she received her B.Eng degree from Dalian University of Technology in 2014 and an M.Sc degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2016.

Research Activity

  • Research intern at AT&T big data research lab, 2018
    I worked with Dr. Wen-ling Hsu. We designed an LSTM-based deep learning model for the time series of customers’ interaction with AT&T’s support units. The model both predicts when and why a customer will contact AT&T again and maps customers’ actions into interpretable latent space (ICSC, 2019).
